Holiday Gift Guide 2024

Christmas is a special time for woodworkers and their families. So many of the family keepsakes for the holidays are made of wood - ornaments, nativity scenes, even the evergreen Christmas tree brightening the dark winter evenings.

At Intersections, we have put together our own holiday giving guide.

All of your purchases at Intersections contribute to sustaining our local not-for-profit organization. Our workshops are highly rated experiences and there is something for everyone!

Make your Own Gifts at our December Workshops

Carl Durance will offer a pair of woodturning workshops to round out our 2024 programs. November 23 - 24, Advanced Ornaments with Finials will elevate your tree, and December 14-15, make your own delightful kaleidoscope (no prior woodturning experience required).

Pierre Rousseau will also offer two workshops, both part of our ongoing Toolbox Series - The Bow or Turning Saw on November 30 - December 1, and the Krenov-style Hand Plane on December 7-8, 2024. These are popular options for woodworkers both as workshops and as durable tools for the discerning craftsperson.

Bring Your Own Project for Open Hours

Make your plans now to spend some quality work time during Open Hours at Intersections. Starting November 20, Wednesday open hours are back! Our open hours are Tuesday - Thursday, from 10 am - 3 pm.

One of A Kind Cribbage Boards

Intersections' members have been hard at work this fall perfecting the design and build of our very own Intersections Wood Collaborative cribbage board. Made from local hardwoods, and precision engineered using our workshop CNC router, these cribbage boards will delight new and experienced players alike.

Each board is fitted with a storage slot and cover on the underside and pegs are also included.

We have a limited number of boards that can be customized with additional text for a truly one of kind gift, ready in time for Christmas!

Intersections Wood Collaborative is proud to offer high quality, reasonably priced learning opportunities for community members of all abilities with woodcraft.

Our gift certificates are available in any denomination, do not expire, are transferable and can be used towards any of our workshops, membership or Open Hours shop time. Receiving a gift certificate is often the nudge needed to try something new!

Custom experiences are also a possibility. We organize private workshops for families, friends, coworkers and other groups. Let us know what you want to learn! Email info@intersectionswoodcollaborative.org to let us know.

Last year we held a hugely successful raffle draw and this year we are doing it again!

Intersections is a not-for-profit organization, run by a volunteer board and the enthusiasm of community members. All of our prizes are donations, so 100% of ticket sales go directly to support the sustainability of Intersections.

You can help - purchase one ticket for $10 or 5 tickets for $50 or 10 tickets for $100 (you get the idea).
