Join us at Intersections Wood Collaborative on Sunday December 3 from 1pm to 5pm for a special Women and Woodworking pop up exhibition and networking event! All are welcome to attend.
Featuring a talk by Marilyn Campbell at 2pm there will also be woodworking and woodturning on display by a number of local artists who identify as she/her from novice to professional as well as Intersections student and instructor work. For more information and if you are interested in having your work as part of the exhibition please contact Kim at info@intersectionsos.org.
Our speaker: Marilyn Campbell is a self-taught turner from Kincardine, Ontario. Her unusual approach to problem solving led to much experimentation with epoxy resin as a second medium to wood. Over the past 25 years she has developed simple techniques for using resin as both a decorative and a structural element to create a unique look. Her work has garnered many awards and has often been cited for its originality. Marilyn has demonstrated and taught her methods throughout Canada, the U.S., Australia, France and England. She has participated in many juried shows and international exhibitions and has been featured in several books and magazines. Her work is included in private, public and museum collections throughout North America and abroad.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday December 3!
